Interview
The interview includes phone call. It really depends on whom you are interviewing for. And it varies from professor to professor. I have had excellent experience. The phone call included talking to the advisor on the phone and describing the projects that you are currently involved and have done previously.
Application submitted online. Called for Onsite interview. Had to give presentation. Meet collaborators, gradate students. Visit labs and interact with other faculties. Was introduced to what is currently done in the group and go over the projects I will be working on.

The director first set up a zoom meeting with me and her project coordinator. I was then invited for a campus visit where I presented my research, met with several of the admin folks and other researchers/professors.
