      Application

I interviewed at United Nations FCU (New York, NY)

      Interview

I applied to the senior recruiter role and received a call from the hiring manager, reaching out to get availability to have a first round interview. I interviewed with the hiring manager pretty standard, pleasant interview. Very shortly after the first round of interview, the hiring manager set me up for second round interview with her reporting manager. The second round interview was also pretty standard and pleasant interview overall. The interviewer told me that there would be one additional round and that it was more of a formality to meet the team. The feedback on both interviews was that I seemed a pretty strong candidate for the role. Upon following up with the hiring manager, she told me that she was still interviewing and would circle back with me, and that I was someone she was considering for the role. I never heard from her again, she completely ghosted me and I never even received a system decline email. I understand firsthand, however, overwhelming recruiting can be, however, once a candidate has engaged their time and you have met and spoken with them. The right thing to do bare minimum is to let them know when they are no longer in consideration for a role and not leave them hanging. This is your footprint out in the market.
