      Field CTO Interview

      20 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Unisys (New York, NY)

      Interview

It was confusing. The entire team was not in synch, and they brought in staff who had nothing to do with qualifying me for such a position. They changed the position during the hiring process to an enterprise architect. I updated the human resource asset but it was a total mess. When you are being interviewed by people who themselves are not coordinated, change the position during the process, and bring in staff who have nothing to do with the role you are interviewing for - it is a major concern.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They were focusing on repairing notebooks and hardware, competing against Best Buy. Why the hell is the team asking about Best Buy and how to compete in repairing laptops and other hardware when you are going for a chief technology position?
