I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at USA TODAY Co. in Oct 2025
Interview
I was contacted stating I was a strong candidate and then asked to complete a questionnaire in an attempt to learn more about my experience and what I was seeking regarding salary, what interests me about the position and what I have done professionally that correlates to the role. There were also 3 scenario based questions that were asked but context was vague.
I never had any interaction with the recruiter via phone, all email based communication, only to receive a cold templated systematic email from Dayforce that I would not be moving forward. Zero acknowledgment of taking time to complete a tedious questionnaire.
I found this format of screening extremely impersonal and lacking of human tone.

Question 1
How would you leverage predictive modeling or machine learning to improve personalization in a social product?
It was a fairly painless process. The first round of interview was a panel type with 3 people. It followed with two individual interviews and then an offer was made.
