I heard through friends that the SBA was hiring loan processors to assist Sandy victims. I called HR and was instructed to email them a resume. Within a few days, I received a call from a supervisor requesting I come in for an interview that day or the next (Saturday). I interviewed on Saturday and was hired. Orientation was Monday and training started on Tuesday.
Basic interview consisted of questions proving that you had a good idea how to do the job. Interviewer was very professional. Follow up was prompt. There were a lot of forms to fill out.
Simply base questions: Go over hours, salaries and benefits. Ask if you're planning any vacations and if so when. That about it. Be prepared to go over salary based on your location. .
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Small Business Administration
Interview
About 3 months after applying, I was finally interviewed. About 1 week after the interview, I started training. Hard hours (lots of OT) working with the Office of Disaster Assistance but it's good work and good payQ
