Screened by Navy hq in TN after an interview with an officer and multiple recommendations. Afterwards, you need to pass OCS to come in full time as an officer.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at US Navy (San Diego, CA)
Interview
Applying to be a commissioned officer in the military (specifically the Navy, as this is my service) is completely different than civilian organizations. You may never meet the hiring manager when you interview. I have interviewed many people to become an officer, through different commissioning programs. I have completed a standard interviewing appraisal for each applicant that is then sent off to a hiring board for consideration.

I applied in-person. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at US Navy (Las Vegas, NV) in Feb 2017
Interview
I initially met an officer recruiter and filled out basic paperwork.
I had to take a test that is called the Aviation Selection Test Battery to determine if I was a competitive applicant other than my GPA from college.
Next step was medical at MEPS, which was painful.
After MEPS, I completed the application for commission and SF-86 for my security clearance.
Application was presented to a board and determined if I received a commission or not.
