I applied through university. I interviewed at US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (Albany, NY) in May 2025
Interview
- the interviewer was friendly and they were grateful to have intern applications because they needed some extra help at the time. They were very professional and we had a nice conversation and she had great questions for me

Interview
There were two round of interviews, one with the team, and one with the manager. Both interviews were respectful and conversational. Both took place one zoom. The first interview seemed to be more about culture fit, while the second was more about interest in the organization's mission and experience with communications.

Interview
They rescheduled the initial interview due to their needs. It was a panel interview that surprisingly had no mental health questions. It did have a lot of questions on working with the populations served, and overall ability to work with youth. It felt the mental health side was an after thought as a need. NO ONE followed up at all even when they said they would "reach out either way". This was a downright lie as even with follow up emails it was ghosting all the way.
