I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Citizenship and Immigration Services (San Jose, CA) in Dec 2018
Interview
Posting closed on 11/7 and roughly a month later I recieved an email about a phone interview. It was a panel of three and they asked various situational questions. They allotted 30 minutes for the interview but I was finished in 15. Four days later I recieved another email asking to submit 3 professional references. The following day I received another email advising that I would have a second interview with the field office director. Had a phone interview with the field office director and he asked 5 questions. It went well. He asked questions like "if you were applying for a company that was just starting up and there was no information on the internet about them what three questions would you ask and why?" The interview lasted for about 25 minutes. A week after my interview with the director, I received my tentative hire email.
