Everything started out well. Spoke with the recruiter and within two days had an interview set up for the next round with two next level managers/supervisors. Completed the servings and moved onto the third and final round with the senior management. That is when things changed.
I want to say that for me to have made it to the third round, my current skills and the understanding from those I interviewed with prior, believed I was a suitable candidate for the role. My personal beliefs are that the senior managers and the previous interviewers were not aligned in what specific skills and experience would best suit their needs.
My second interview, the two managers/supervisors were extremely pleasant, polite, engaging, and the interview was amazing. However, the last round with the senior management was not very becoming of a company that you wish to work for. One of the senior managers was visibly disinterested , seemed detached and, for lack of better words, was quite rude.
It wasn’t until this interview that I learned that ghosting was actually happening. I'd heard about it but never experienced it. There were no follow-ups. I reached out to the recruiter and nothing to date. That is simply unprofessional and unacceptable in this day and age.
