I applied through university. I interviewed at TuSimple (Pittsburgh, PA) in Oct 2019
Interview
They treat you like you are stupid and don't even bother to take into account your previous work/training. You are subjected to a series of demeaning coding trials and questions about basic topics them being included in your background / degree / past work.
The interviewer is really nice and patient, help clear out the confusion and make constructive comment, though I'd say that's also the sign that as an interviewee I was not doing good enough
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TuSimple in Sept 2018
Interview
Got interview from university recruiting. Asked about personal projects, CV algorithms in deep learning and a coding question. The interviewer wanted me to compare gradient boosting and adaboost because there are boosting methods used in my project.
