      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Trust Group (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

At first, the interview process was great! However, my problems started whenever I received a phone call from the CEO. At first, he seemed really friendly, but it was just a mask. As soon as I asked him a question that he couldn’t answer, he got upset and told me it wasn’t his job to know. Personally, I find this very disturbing because he seemed both arrogant and ignorant from his response. Also, his job says that it ONLY hires College Gradates. However, whenever I conducted my interviews, I was competing with people who had never gone to College. Not only did they lie about the requirements, but when asked about it, they retaliated with, “why should it matter.” I believe it matters, because you got me here based on lies. Not to mention they lied about full commission. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend accepting a job from here! Be patient and look elsewhere.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Trust Group (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2019

      Interview

They call their interview process a “three step process.” The first in the phone interview, then the one-on-one interview with the owner, then the shadow interview where you follow a current employee around for 1-2 hours. They take you to a Starbucks, and then to one of the Walmart’s to show you how to sell reliant energy to customers. Their advancement opportunities are a “five step” process also. First, you are “account representative” for 1-3 weeks based on how well you sell, then you are corporate trainer, then senior corporate trainer, then assistant manager, and then manager. The first 3, you are selling reliant energy in a Walmart location. When you reach assistant manager, you are still selling in a Walmart, just not as often. The application says “bachelors degree required,” but I don’t think that’s true because another girl that interviewed the same day as me didn’t even have an associates degree. That isn’t bad, but they shouldn’t be seeking new college graduates if they will take anyone. It is also not salary based. There is a base pay of $300/week, and the rest is commission based solely on how many accounts you get customers to open with reliant. My trainer was nice, but it doesn’t seem like you learn any skills besides how to talk to people in a Walmart, which isn’t that difficult already.
