They were not interested in doing a video interview, and expected me to travel a total of 8 hours for the interview. They did not compensate me for my travels. The interview itself was pretty standard. We discussed academics, involvement, and previous work experience. Despite reaching out for updates, they never contacted me to tell me I did not get the position, which is incredibly unprofessional.
