I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TraceLink (Boston, MA) in Nov 2017
Interview
I applied online and was then contacted by a recruiter. Invited for a technical phone interview, and given a Google doc link to write code. The interviewer gave me 3 questions, pretty easy ones. I solved the questions in no time, and the interviewer had no further questions to ask.
I never received an email about next steps even after acing the technical interview. Sent an email after 10 days asking for a response, to which I receive a rejection saying we are no longer considering you. Asked for feedback, to which I never got a reply. Disappointed after doing so well in an interview.

Interview
Applied Online. The process was quick, got an email from recruiter for a quick call.
Phone Interview: Recruiter informed me about the process ahead, just basic questions about the projects.
Got an email from another recruiter next day who scheduled a technical interview with the director. I didn't expect it was going to be a coding test as it wasn't mentioned in the email.
Technical Interview day: I got a call 10 mins post the scheduled time from an engineer of the Platform team. He told me that he has sent me a google doc link on my email and we will be coding. I was no where close to my laptop so took me 5 minutes to reach a laptop and in the meanwhile, I asked questions whether the director was busy as he was scheduled to take my interview.
He asked 3 questions. I have mentioned them below. The 2nd question I did using the Hashmap approach and i used map.keySet() to iterate on the keys of the map and the interviewer said he hadn't seen that method before. That was Hilarious. At the end, I asked question about the platform team, but the interviewer was too rude! He answered everything in a single line and looked totally disinterested.
The questions were easy and I was sure I got all of them correct.
Next Day: Got a reject: Same old email stating we had a very good pool of candidates etc.
I wish the recruiters handled the scheduling well and informed me about the coding interview beforehand.
Also, coding in google doc is such a pain. I hope they move to actual coding platform like coderpad.

I applied through university. I interviewed at TraceLink (North Reading, MA)
Interview
I applied through school.
Round 1- contacted by the Recruiter. Had a phone call with the recruiter, to discuss background and match.
Round 2 - After this was contacted for a technical phone screen, for an hour. The interviewer was kind and professional. 3 questions. Pretty easy ones. Had to write unit tests for the code.
Round 3 - 2 rounds, One with director of the team, where we discussed my background further. Another round with 5 engineers for 1.5 hours, was given two problems to solve.
These guys have free lunch, so was offered lunch after the interview.
Received a reject the next day, was they were looking for someone with more practical knowledge. Even though, this was a reject, I enjoyed interviewing with the company, because everyone was kind, and the turn around time for the decisions would be either a day or two. I really appreciate the recruiter here.
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! We strive for every candidate, whether hired or not, to have similar feelings about their interviewing experience with TraceLink. Although things didn't align this time, we hope there will be other opportunities in the near future which will more closely fit your skill set.
Sincerely,
