I applied online. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us

      Interview

A group interview and the ones getting the job know that day. Dress formally and the whole purpose of the interview is to see if you are a good associate and have some sort of interest in toys.

      Question 1

      Do you like toys?

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (Webster, TX) in Jun 2015

      Interview

I was interviewed by the general manager and HR lead of the store. For the most part, it's an easy interview. They'll tell you what's expected of your etiquette as an employee, and what your duties will be. They'll ask you about past experiences working, or if you haven't worked before, they'll ask you "what was a time you were in a group and ___ happened? How was it resolved?" If you're hired, they won't outright say it, but will generally give you a vibe of acceptance if you were. Just ask them when you can "expect an answer", and if they have something to say, they'll say it.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What are some things in the store you are already familiar with? How are you better prepared than others to help customers with said things?

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us

      Interview

First phase: Applying online. Get a call back from the human resources associate in the store at which you applied. Schedule an interview, business casual clothing. Second phase: Interview is a group interview. Undergo a sales test where you take an item off the shelf and sell it to the interviewer, a human resources representative. Also sell a random item of the interviewers choosing. Then you take a tour of the store. Schedule the next interview. Third phase: Interview with store manager. Asks about experience, work ethic, lifestyle, etc. Specifics depend on who the store manager is. Schedule training if the job offer is accepted.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The impromptu sales test was unexpected, and difficult if you don't have sales experience.
