Interview with their internal recruiter went great. She was very enthusiastic about me as a candidate and was very quick to pass me along to the next step of the interview. I then met with the BDR Manager, who immediately had an awkward fake personality. It was very difficult to connect with this person, as if they had preconceived notions. They also made comments about my experience as if I was overqualified, which I was but also had recent experience in this role. This younger manager, seemed intimidated by someone with confidence and more experience than them. Even kept referencing how much coaching is involved in the role, sounded like they are a babysitter. I was then told by the recruiter I was not moving on - she called me like she enjoys telling people they've been disqualified. I then received very candid feedback that was harsh and inaccurate. Even referencing that I was slouching. I have documented back and neck issues and it effects my posture, so they are clearly judging appearances and medical conditions. Their candid feedback also mentioned that I talked too much about my previous employer --- the one that was the same role and the same space. So I talked about my experience in a similar role too much.. I guess I should have talked about my experience outside of work?
