Applied online and was contacted by the recruiter for an initial screening call. During the interview, I was told the role was targeting someone with less experience due to the salary level being on the lower end. The rejection email, however, stated they moved forward with a candidate who had longer experience which directly contradicted what was communicated during the interview itself.
The process felt professionally managed on the surface, but the inconsistent feedback left a poor impression. If you're a senior candidate, be aware the role may not be the right fit salary-wise, and expect that the rejection communication may not reflect what was actually discussed.
