the process was long, drawn out and very unclear. After 5 interviews, they asked me to do 3 more, without ever having discussed, salary, vacation, RSU's etc. I wasn't going to go through a ridiculously long process, without even knowing if we were aligned on comp package.
So I declined to proceed further. 8 interviews is twice as much as any other company had asked of me. For all I know, there could've been even more than 8-- no one told me or seemed to know. Regardless 8 interviews is extremely excessive for a non-Executive role.
Perhaps in the future, it's best to let candidates know the job details, as well as the extent of the interview process, as I would've declined moving forward at the onset, had I been aware that there would be 8 interviews. To be frank that many interviews tells me that your HR/hiring practices need a serious overhaul.
My advice to Tonal, is to improve your HR/hiring processes and discuss the expectations with the candidates at the onset so that you're not wasting anyone's time
