They reached out to me for a phone interview, which went amazing! Then they wanted me to come in to meet the team for an in person interview. When I got there the office was empty and one of the people interviewing me did not show up and the person who greeted me seemed to try to be thinking of an excuse for him and felt the need to explain to me. Right away, I began to feel uncomfortable. When the two girls that were going to interview me came in, I could tell they were judging me from the start. When they sat down one of the interviewers was reluctant to introduce herself which made me feel even more off; that same girl would not make eye contact with me and was silent throughout the rest of the interview unless her coworker asked her directly if she had any questions for me. She seemed to be very nervous and uncomfortable. We started the interview with me explaining my background and experience and then they said they would ask me questions. After I was done, they said I had a lot of experience and I was a great candidate; then only asked me two questions. These two girls rushed the interview & kept insinuating that I was too into fitness and had too much background in other areas of PR which made me an unfit candidate for pharmaceutical PR. They also rushed out of the room and when I asked for their business cards so I could send them a thank you email, they refused to give them to me. Overall I was very disappointed with the interview process because over the phone they seemed excited to meet me and have me on board. Even if they changed their minds I would have still appreciated that they spare me and hide that the last thing they wanted to do was be in that room with me. It left a bad taste in my mouth and with the appearance that the company does not have a good, positive atmosphere. There was so much bad energy in that place.
