I applied online and heard back fairly quickly asking to to do a phone screening. There was a link in the email to choose my availability but it wasn't the most intuitive page to use. Regardless I filled out the times I was available and got an email back confirming the date and time however there was no date and time in the email. I sent back a note thanking the recruiter for confirming but mentioning that the email had no date or time. This was a Thursday afternoon and I never heard back. Turns out the interview was the following Tuesday and he called me without ever letting me know. Despite that I luckily was able to take the call and go through the phone interview. The interview was simple and the recruiter was friendly and said he would get back to me in a few days about next steps. I sent a thank you note the following day and the recruiter let me know he'd get back to me ASAP. That was two weeks ago and I never heard anything and job has since been taken down. I didn't mind if I wasn't the right fit or they found someone else but they clearly do not have their hiring process together.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear it wasn't a positive one. I sincerely apologize for that and our lack of follow up. We’ve since closed this role so I hope you’ve received your follow up at this point.

Application
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2022
Interview
First interview was with the recruiter, who was very warm and welcoming. We had a general chat about experience and what the job entailed, as well as discussion of the salary range.
I was moved on to the second interview with the Onboarding Manager over a Zoom Meeting. The interviewer was great even though I botched the interview due to a combination of nerves and kidney stone issues making it hard to focus. Totally on me, but the process it's self went very well.
Obviously, I did not get an offer, but they did take the time to reply back very quickly with their decision, which I greatly appreciated. Will definitely keep trying.

Question 1
Q: Tell me about a time that you had to convince someone in a leadership position of something they did not want to do.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am so sorry that you weren't feeling your best during the interview- that must've been very frustrating. Please do continue to consider Toast for future opportunities!
