I applied online. I interviewed at ToBeInStyle in Apr 2020
Interview
Applied online and got a call the next day. Physical interview lasted less than 15 minutes. They asked how far my commute would be and when I told them, the interviewer said that the commute was too far and not manageable for me. Although I am accustomed to 2 hour commutes. They even did a google search on my city to see the distance and commute and continued to tell me that I’m too far despite me telling them it was manageable. I feel like the commute was a big issue for them, and I can understand that. They also asked me personal questions, like my relationships, and tried to discredit my education and experience. One of the two interviewers was very misogynistic. Very unprofessional company.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ToBeInStyle (Alhambra, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Applied online at night and got a call the next day for a phone interview. Phone interview lasted less than 15 minutes and I could tell they werent going to consider me. They asked how far my commute would be and when I told them, the interviewer implied that the commute was too far and not manageable for me (even though my current commute at my present employment is twice as far). They even did a google search on my city to see the distance and commute and continued to tell me that I’m too far despite me telling them it was manageable. They also asked me my salary at my current employment which I found to be rude.
I was way overqualified for them. They said no degree was necessary nor having experience as a writer or editor. I have my degree as well as experience working as an editor. I feel the commute was a big issue for them. Very unprofessional company. Even their job listing is full of spelling errors.
