The interview process took 3 weeks of my life...just to be rejected. You have to go through 1 set of emailed questions, followed by a project, and 3 rounds of interviews. The first interview is with the hiring manager, the second is with the team to see if you are a good culture fit, then you do the project. The 3rd interview is with the hiring manager to talk about your project. Be prepared to answer unnecessary and pointless questions which really do not contribute to an objective evaluation of you as a person at all. The hiring manager came off as a bit rude and snarky as well. They stated that this long interview process was because they are "intentional" about who they hire, but as an established organization I'm really surprised they haven't been able to create a more efficient and logical process. The worst thing is, they know how low their rating on GlassDoor is and how poor their process is, yet they choose to do nothing about it. The entire interview process was a complete waste of my time and frankly, I feel like I seriously dodged a bullet as the manager herself mentioned they have a SUPER high turnover rate due to a change in management. Additionally, one of their primary concerns was what I would do in unethical situations and how I would maintain optics... The team members mentioned that the "typical non-profit shady things" would happen, which, having worked in NPO's before, is the LAST thing I want to hear. I would steer clear until their improve their interview process. It's very likely going to be a waste of your time. Oh and also, do NOT, use pronouns to refer to ANYONE unless you have had clear confirmation from the person themselves. I had a slip of the tongue and referred to a fictional character as "he" and the hiring manager pressed about it, asked me to provide evidence this person identified as he/him, where did I see that? Why would I say that? What led me to use that pronoun? Do I typically assume pronouns? Just be careful with what you say.
