I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (New York, NY) in Jan 2017
Interview
I applied on LinkedIn and was contacted shortly thereafter by a TTD recruiter. We set up an initial phone chat where we talked about the role and my background. Next round was a phone call with the hiring manager, followed by an in-person 3-hour interview with 4 different people from various departments (all 1 on 1) including the hiring manager, fifth round was a phone call with the SVP of the group, sixth round was an in-person meeting with the CCO, followed by a final conversation with the recruiter and email correspondence regarding a background check. Once the background check was completed there was another call with the recruiter and then an offer/negotiations.
Throughout the process everyone was extremely nice and you could tell very excited about the company. Follow up scheduling tended to come within the day or following 1-2 days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mainly questions about myself, my background, my knowledge of the industry, and what I was looking for / why I was interested in the role.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (Mumbai) in Apr 2025
Interview
Thorough process followed.
Talent Advisor Screening , Talent Director for culture match, Business Lead, Account Lead, Sales Lead, Revenue Lead all had different rounds with different agenda. The context was also different for each one so it seemed like a well created path. Plus the use of an interview process platform gave a good visibility into progress and stages
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How will you contribute to client servicing excellence?
I was referred to the position so this was the only way I even got through the door. I had a great interview with the recruiter, and an even better interview (at least I thought based on the many words of affirmation, and praise for my background) with the hiring manager. I was told by both the recruiter and the hiring manager that this was early on in the process, and that I would hear back the following week (I was interviewed on a Thursday). The next day, around mid-day, I received the 'no-reply' email indicating that I will not be moving forward. It was disappointing, and very much felt like I was only interviewed as a courtesy for being referred. Zero compassion from the company with false expectations set from the beginning.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Recruiter asked basic information about my background, interest in the role, and which projects I'm most proud of.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Trade Desk in Feb 2024
Interview
Recruiters GHOST you! Typical phone screen. Overall fine conversation, seemed like a good person but went dark. Somewhat standard terms (were a big family, entrepreneurial, etc.). Not that hard but pretty standard. Don’t be shocked to never hear back - have heard the same from several others. Suspect they were just trying to get intel on other companies.
