I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Riverside Company (Cleveland, OH) in May 2015
Interview
The interview process takes several rounds, is time-intensive and was spread over a period of multiple weeks. There were initial phone screens that asked about my deal experience and why I was interested in Riverside. After 2 rounds of phone screens, I was then asked to complete online personality tests. Next, I was given a pitchbook from an old deal and asked to create a detailed LBO model and investment thesis write-up over the next few days. I then presented to a VP via phone who asked questions about my assumptions. After that I did not hear from the firm which was disappointing, given the hours dedicated to putting together the investment recommendation and online tests.

Met with 5+ transactors and they had me do case studies as well. I had a couple phone screens before I did the in person interviews. Generally everyone was very pleasant and most of the questions were about my experience and case studies. They also did testing while you are interview.
