The interview process involved multiple steps. If there had been another, I would've refused. It involved a phone screening with HR (watch out for lies and promises they can't fulfill), then a written assignment. This borders on doing unpaid work. Don't put in too much time here. Then there's a video interview with a director. After that, there's a 3.5hr series of interviews with multiple people, including those who would be your boss and coworkers. It's an unnecessary time suck. In the end, they'll offer you the bare minimum of the salary range discussed with HR in the first call or possibly less. Negotiating skills are paramount.
