Before one is able to get a 1:1 interview with their hiring managers, one most take 1-3 Microsoft Excel test either remotely through www.logmein.com or on site. If you pass the test(s), whatever that may mean, then they will call you to schedule a phone interview. During the phone interview they take about your qualifications, your past work experiences, etc. They ask you why do you want to work here... They also tell you what the job pays too.
