      Talent Acquisition Specialist Interview

      15 Nov 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Foxboro, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Kraft Group (Foxboro, MA)

      Interview

During the phone screen I was told it was Monday - Friday in office 9am - 6pm and said I was fine with that, he then went on to really question my answer but I let it go. After the phone screen I had an off feeling...I previously had a manager who had the same energy as the hiring manager and it was not a great experience but wanted to overlook because it wasn't fair to judge someone's personality from one phone call. While on the phone, I could tell he was texting/messaging other people and he kept apologizing. He asked me to come in office for onsite interviews so we scheduled that. The interviews were supposed to take place at 9am for about an hour and a half; the day before he called and asked me to switch to 5pm. I agreed/understood things change, like peoples schedules. Once there, I was left in the waiting area till after 5. We then went right into his office where he basically interviewed me again; I thought it was strange there was no office tour. He kept checking his phone, but said he was waiting for the next panel member to message him she was ready. When I asked about benefits (this wasn't discussed during the phone screen), his response was "it would be illegal for us not to offer benefits." which really put me off. Once he got the message the she was ready, we made our way to her office. Once there, we all sat. As she looked at my resume, she was a rude comment about the current company I work for, but I let it slide. Every time she asked a question she would immediately go on her phone and felt like she wasn't listening to the answer I was giving, She explained that someone at a different company was having an "emergency". At one point she asked the Hiring Manager (who was still in the room) why her email looked weird on her phone, how to fix it, etc. It was quiet for a long time and for the first time in my career I felt like walking out of an interview. She proceeded to tell the Hiring Manager to ask me questions, which he responded with "we've already had time to talk" and she said "well I don't know what else you want me to ask." After that, the interview ended. Overall, I was there for less than 45 minutes. Extremely disappointing experience as this was my dream company to work for. After telling people about my experience, I have heard TERRIBLE stories. As the Hiring Manager walked me out I was told I would hear by Friday (interview was on a Tuesday), i just got an automated email last night saying I didn't get the role....this was 3 weeks later.
