I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Bellevue, WA)
Interview
Applied online, received a call a day later from the section manager. She asked me a few really basic questions about prior experience, then asked me to come in and meet her. I met with her a few days later, it went really well and she arranged a meeting with the general manager for me in a couple days. The general manager seemed like a busy guy, but not in a bad way. The second interview only lasted about ten minutes, with no real challenging questions. Standard restaurant questions. He said if I didn't hear from him that afternoon to assume I hadn't got the position. I didn't hear from him.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing really unexpected, mostly why do you want to work here, what do you think makes a good host, do you have those qualities, etc.
Also asked which cheesecake factory restaurants I had been to and what I knew about the company.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Glendale, WI) in Mar 2026
Interview
You initially interview with an assistant manager or something. It is a rather easy interview but then they say they will get back to you about setting up a second interview and they never do. Felt like the were giving me the run-around. Not professional.
I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Orland Park, IL)
Interview
Very easy interview process. I sat down with one of the shift managers and we went over job duties, my experience and availability. They mostly ask about reliability and availability.

Interview
3 interviews, first 2 pretty much just about availability, last one was more scenario questions such as what you would do if you noticed a guest wasn't having a good experience and how to better it. Also asked about past work history, specifically if you've worked in retail or fast food/a restaurant before
