The interview process began with an initial Zoom meeting, which was generally pleasant and professional. The interviewers were friendly and informative, taking time to explain the role and the firm’s areas of work. They asked me questions about my background and experience, and at the end of the conversation, they mentioned that they would follow up regardless of their decision. If selected to move forward, they said the next step would be an in-person office visit.
A few days later, I was invited to tour their Philadelphia office. The visit itself was fine, though the setup felt unusual for a firm of their claimed size and reputation. The company occupied three separate offices within a shared workspace: one appeared to be used mostly for storage, another was largely unused, and the third contained the main workstations. Overall, it gave the impression of a smaller, newer operation rather than an established architecture practice.
After the visit, I sent a thank-you email and later a follow-up message expressing continued interest. Unfortunately, I never received a response to either. Given that they had specifically stated they would notify me regardless of the outcome, the lack of communication came across as unprofessional and disappointing.
