I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Haverfordwest, Wales) in Oct 2016
Interview
Had to have an individual interview which was a positive experience, allowed you to take your time to answer and understood that this was my first time part job. Lasted 10 minutes and allowed me to change the date of my interview which was very accommodating
I applied for a shop assistant role at Tesco online, filling in my details and availability. After a few days, I was invited to an interview, which took place in-store. The interviewer asked me questions about customer service, teamwork, and how I would handle busy situations or difficult customers. I gave examples from my past experiences to show my communication skills and reliability. The interview felt relaxed and conversational rather than formal. I was also asked about my flexibility with shifts. Overall, the process was straightforward, and I heard back within about a week with the outcome.
First call with employer then an in person interview where they asked you a few questions about previous experience, your key professional qualities and what you can bring to the role.

Question 1
What previous experience could help you in this role?
Applied through an online agency - I had to complete a form which then got submitted to the company. This led to arranging a Telephone interview call with me. Relatively straight forward with the usual type of questions.
