I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tesco
Interview
Was a group interview with 5 others. First filled out a few forms related to health and safety/availability. Then split up and my group was taken to the shop floor, I was put with the guy on the produce section and observed on my interaction with customers. The worker was really friendly and so were the customers. Then I had my 1 to 1 interview with a manager who was also really laid back and friendly. Finally we met as a group again and had to build a 6 ft paper tower. I'm terrible at stuff like this so I hated it, we failed to build a tower that could stand on its own and I really don't see what the point of this exercise was.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time where you had to adapt your behaviour to another person
Interview was around 2.5 hours in total. Started with a group interview then 20 minutes on the shop floor shadowing a checkout colleague then finally a 1 to 1 interview with a manager.
Nice environment. Kind people. Asked the right questions and I felt I could ask any questions i had. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would recommend to other people to do an interview with them.
Very easy, just asked a few questions about my experience and my availability on time etc. what days i can work and my flexability on the dates i can do
