Interview
The hiring process was slight difficult throughout. After applying for the vacancy, an online assessment was emailed, which included numeracy skills tests, some verbal questions and competency style questions. These should take about 45 minutes so it's handy to have pen and paper ready, especially for the numeracy test. A couple of days I was invited to a telephone interview, which i booked online that was suitable for me. The phone interview was about 10 minutes long and was general questions on why you was to work for the company, as well as go through some information about how you did. I then passed this, and was invited to a further interview with the store I applied in, which was scheduled for a few days time. I was taken to an office where it first started with 25 minutes of reading information with regards to a role play which was part of the interview. Ensure you take notes about the different offers and mobiles that they provide which will make it easiest for the case study. After the role play, I was asked questions on about myself, whether I have challenged anyone's way of thinking etc.. I personally thought the interview went bad, however fortunately I received a phone call the next day that I passed the interview and would like to offer me the position!

How have you challenged someone's way of thinking?
The phone interview was quick and concise. The lady was very friendly and asked questions about availability and experience that could be relevant to the role here. I answered as quick as I oculd but obviously was quite nervous, so I stuttered a couple times.

Interview
After a few days of applying for this job online I received an interview for a telephone interview. This was just general questions about my eligibility to work in the UK and what my previous experience working with people was like. I was told at the end of the interview that I passed, and was then invited to a face-to-face interview which took around forty minutes. Usually a role-play situation would be part of the face-to-face process, however my interviewer disliked that approach so he had me chat with the other advisers already employed there so they could find out more about my personality and how I felt about the store.
One thing the telephone interviewer neglected to ask me was my age. As I am only 17, I can't sell people contracts without supervision from another employee, which could have hurt my chances of getting the job.
