After applying through the internet by sending in a cover letter and resume, I was invited to interview. The interview was set up in three stages. The first was a telephone interview. The questions were general and nothing unexpected took place. He seemed generally interested in my background and I received an email several hours later to come in and interview in person. The second interview was much like the first. He did most of the talking. No further questions were asked. I was then invited to come for a third interview that would include presenting how I would add value to one of their programs. This would be presented before a panel. Two of the members were very pleasant people, yet the other two were rather unfriendly, one more so than the other. There was a lot of "good cop/bad cop" interaction. I sensed almost an unusual hostility by one of them at one point, bringing me almost the point of regretting applying for the position. Through this experience, I expected that they would not hire me, as it seemed a consensus was required and this one individual made consensus impossible. What her problem was, I will never know as she hardly spoke a word.
Overall, the office dynamic was strange. They never offered me the standard etiquette of calling me back to let me know they hired someone else. In the end, it was their loss, certainly not mine.
