My resume was handed to Human Resources by a friend, and I was immediately called. The phone call was pleasant and we scheduled an in-person meeting. Questions centered around my long experience and types of diverse projects and knowledge. Experience and knowledge on my past projects were used to gauge their current projects and overall company mission, more on more than technical programming skills. My passion and energy seemed to be a good fit and a deciding factor for the next step: the offer

phone interview to ask about your experience, no real technical questions at this point. In person interview 30 minute Java test on language basics, which was modeled after Java certification material, whiteboard problem based on recent work problem and simple string parsing problem to be solved in development environment

they actually had me solve a problem in Eclipse, it was a simple string parsing problem. However, i like this approach better than having to write code on the whiteboard.
