Fairly straightforward, quick process. First, I had a phone interview with a manager from a different location. She then forwarded my information to the location I applied to, and held a face to face interview with me within a few days. The same day as my in-person interview, she sent me over to the location I applied to for my interview with the manager from there. I heard back from them 2 days later saying I got the job.

The actual location for my interview was quite far from the location I applied for. Aside from that, the interview was both professional and casual. My interviewer did a great job of making me feel comfortable and relaxing throughout the interview while maintaining a sense of professionalism. We first discussed my previous employment experiences, then we did a quick role play where I was given a few minutes to read a product pamphlet and then had to try to sell one of those products to "a customer in aisle at the grocery store". We talked about my performance during the role play, and finally we discussed opportunities for career advancement at TCF Bank. This was the first interview, with HR. I then had an identical interview with the branch manager of the location I applied for.

HR will tell you within a week whether you got the position or not and right away you have to schedule for training classes

The interview questions were very typical. Went over my application. Previous experiences with customers. Online I read about the role playing so, I practiced at home and it was very helpful!
