It was a simple process. Matt emailed me and we set up an appointment for a phone interview. Asked when I was available, cleared conflicts and discussed pay and the project start date.

Interview
The interviews can usually be done in person or via Skype or the like. I did mine on campus and it was very quick and painless. As stated below, these interviews feel more like an easy conversation than a Q & A session. The only negative is that you can have a productive interview and then wait for a bit of time before you get on a project. It is just unpredictable when first getting your feet wet.

The interview consisted of fairly general questions that gave a glimpse of your past work and school experiences. The interviewer also asked about any future plans, even beyond working for Synergy. These interviews feel more like a conversation than a Q & A session.
