I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Synaptop (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2014
Interview
The interview process was pretty standard. I was asked multiple questions, a mix between personal questions and technology based questions. I first had a phone interview, I was then asked to come in for an in person interview with both a manager and a senior developer, and then they sent me an email asking me to answer a number of questions in the form of a code review. After a successful test, they offered me a job.

Question 1
They asked me to find bugs with a piece of code, I do not remember specific questions. I also would not say in case they were going to use the same question.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Synaptop (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2014
Interview
The interview was professional. I was nervous so it is hard for me to remember everything. They asked me a combination of personality questions and industry specific questions. This process was fair, I got the feeling that the managers really wanted to get to know me before asking tech questions. I liked that process, it made me feel that they were not lying when they said that the team dynamic is important.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Synaptop (Waterloo, ON) in Oct 2016
Interview
Overall, this interview process was a negative experience. The interviewer went through the list of questions fairly quickly (comprised mostly of asking about programming skills), leaving me to scramble for conversation to fill the 30 minute interview block. I got the feeling that the company is unwilling to delegate difficult challenges to interns.
