I had a twenty minute video call with a member of HR/Recruitment about the position. The call was pleasant, and my queries were answered until I queried the pay scale of the position. I would not be told.
I was informed that the next step, should I wish to continue with the process, would be a thirty minute meeting with one of the leads who would administer a code logic exam. Then I would have four individual interviews with different engineers. The final interview was, I believe, with the head of HR. Only then, should I have been deemed a fit for the position, would I be informed of a salary figure.
I declined the offer to proceed.
From experience, I've learned to not dedicate several hours of my time to an interview process when the salary is unknown; It's always proven to end with a disappointing reveal.
