      Associate Account Executive Interview

      30 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at SurveyMonkey (New York, NY)

      Interview

Based on reading others reviews it seems that it's this companies MO to waste interviewees time. Then not even be professional & courteous to let them know they have not been selected. Recruiter didn't even respond to my follow-up email. Bad look glad I didn't get the position.

      Associate Account Executive Interview

      27 Jan 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Mateo, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SurveyMonkey (San Mateo, CA) in Jan 2022

      Interview

I was referred by one of their employees. I had (5) half-hour interviews spanning from late December to late January via Zoom: One with HR, three with various team leaders and one with the VP of sales initially for a Senior Account Executive position. I was eventually rejected for that position but the VP steered me to an Associate AE position, which I was greatly in favor of and did not consider it to be a step back. I also believed that I was better suited for an Associate role. After an interview with the leader of that team it was determined in the end that since I did not have industry experience (Saas), i was dropped from the running. The interview processes were courteous and nearly conversational with each individual, They continually asked for my feedback on the process which shows that they do care about how they present themselves. Follow-ups were courteous and quick until the ultimate rejection e-mail arrived several days after my last interview. The issue that I have is that they collectively put me through a five-interview process to come to a conclusion that they could have arrived at earlier by simply looking at my resume and determining not to proceed from a much earlier stage. In the end, it sent a mixed message to me that even though they tried to find a place for me, companies like Momentive in the "tech" industry do not yet fully believe that candidates outside their industry can grasp SaaS or whatever software technology they develop and sell.. Other reviews echo this.
