I recently interviewed with the recruiter and hiring manager for a role. Both individuals were pleasant to engage with, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the position. However, during the process, I was asked to complete an assignment that required a significant investment of time, including creating a sample email and project plan. After submitting my work, I was informed that I was not a good culture fit. This outcome was disappointing, as I had hoped for constructive feedback on my assignment, especially given the effort I put into it. Additionally, it was unclear how my submission was evaluated or utilized, which left me feeling that my time was not valued.
