The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Superba Vox (New York, NY)
Interview
This interview process is way too intense for the money they are offering. I asked to speak with someone in person during the last leg of my interview process and they declined. They couldn’t be bothered. This seems like a good indication of how they’d treat their staff. Don’t waste your time, there are way better options out there.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Superba Vox (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2023
Interview
BEWARE: This was the only company I've ever dealt in my life that did not have a phone call or video interview and I couldn't talk to a real person throughout the entire interview process. There were 5 stages, all with "DO NOT REPLY" emails. Do not work for this company. First time lessons are completely unpaid and if you don't make the cut they can let you go. They expect the teacher to walk a student through for how to get set up and billed for lessons and walk them through the software used to do that IN A LESSON, even though they say the lesson should be taught. THEN they expect the teacher to take detailed notes that they send to the student after the lessons, time for that is unpaid. They pay $30 an hour and $15 for 30 minutes. No pay raise, that is the rate end of discsussion. They do not care about their teachers at all. I asked multiple times if I could speak to someone as there were many questions I had with their lengthy and detailed contracts, terms and conditions, etc. The question was avoided over and over again in the emails and was never acknowledged. RED FLAG. For the interview questions, you get them in the form of 5 different forms and stages. You have to record self-made videos answering interview questions, submit a whole host of employment verification (they wouldn't just take my passport which counts as employment verification) and wanted a physical copy of my Social Security Card. Then when submitting my teaching bio, which was copied directly from an example from another teacher on their website, they said it was too short and to re-submit. The interview questions repeated themself in almost all of the 5 forms/stages. Any company that won't talk to you over phone or video call and avoids your questions is a red flag! AVOID THIS SHADY COMPANY. They do not care about their teachers whatsoever.
