I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SuperRare
Interview
The interview process was a typical video screening followed by a one-on-one interview. However, my excitement for the role quickly fizzled after meeting with leadership. That interview was very awkward and filled with disconnects about what the role entailed.

Question 1
In retrospect, I am glad this didn't work out due to the red flags. "Community" is a hot industry buzzword but often accompanied by a lack of understanding of what it means. I felt like I was being tasked to prove to them why they needed this position, which was uncomfortable. The interviews really had no questions about me personally. I don't know that leadership understood what they were hiring for.
5 rounds anywhere from 30 - 90 minute a piece. The recruiter for the most part kept in decent touch and I made sure to voice transparency about my current offers and timelines early and often. I met with director of engineering who told me after the last round they would get back to me by end of week.
Then I reach out after not hearing anything and the recruiter says " Do understand we have to get all the other candidates through and will take about two weeks"
Truly one of the most inconsiderate and unprofessional experiences I've had. Thank goodness I uncovered this superfake attitude before an offer was extended.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SuperRare in Dec 2021
Interview
First interview with the hiring manager to assess your background, followed by brief meeting with the CTO and a technical interview at last. It consists on building a small UI piece live. It's an easy task to complete honestly, but it isn't suited for a technical interview since it's more of a take-home exercise. Plus, the overall recruitment process was very poorly managed, revealing an unprofessional work culture based on internal miscommunication and unclear workflows. It's clearly the case of a start-up that needs to mature.
