I had a first phone screen with an HR, then a discussion with the engineering manager who wanted to clarify my professional objectives and present in more details the open position. After that I had two rounds of technical interviews. The first was one hour using Coderpad doing pair programming and solving a simplified version of a problem you could face as backend developer. The second was around 1h30 to design a simplified rest API serving data from a database, with different questions around system design. In that same day, I had another hour discussing more kind of behavioral questions with a manager.
The interviews were really interesting, the engineers were nice but really thorough in testing how much you understand serving API at scale.
I did not take the offer finally but it was very generous and competitive. And I really had a WOW when I received a gift at home from SnapCommerce with the offer. I almost regretted saying no. Thanks SnapCommerce for this incredible experience.
