I was contacted by a recruiter at a time I wasn't really looking for an opportunity. I had heard a lot of positive things about Sterling lately and was curious to see what they had to offer. They were very flexible with interview times. I was able to come in after work and they accommodated the days and times I was available. Not many companies will work with you when you still have a f/t job and can't step out during the day to interview. Sterling was more than accommodating. My company counter offered me, so I stayed. I know I probably will end up regretting that.
I was interviewed first by the director of commercial lines, then asked to take a technical insurance quiz, and then came back for their interview process. I also took an online personality test. I was then interviewed by three different people as part of their values interview. I don't think I ever had an interview similar to what I did on the interview. Each interviewer asked me very different questions. I'm glad I went to the website and looked at their values page, because the entire interview process was tied into it. I liked how I could share my technical skills, customer service skills and things about me with the interviewers.
