Did not apply for this role, was contacted by outside recruiter via LinkedIn who asked if I was interested in a Senior IT Manager position at Stellar. However, after checking the company's website, noticed that the job title was listed as IT Manager. When I asked about the descepancy, was informed that Stellar was open / flexible to different titling.
Was then told that someone from Stellar internal recruiting team was to reach out in a couple days which did not happen. I followed up, they apologized and said to expect an email by the end of the week. Again nothing, I followed up one more time, they asked that I checked my spam/ junk folder and nothing there, first red flag. Finally got an email later that day with a link to schedule a recruiter screening call the following week.
Unfortunately the recruiter ended up being late for the screening call, another red flag. Interview seemed to go well, enjoyed talking about the role and how it seemed like a good fit. But then I asked on whether the job title was flexible, they had no idea what I was talking about and said I was given the wrong information, third red flag.
The recruiter seemingly was ending the call by mentioning next steps and the hiring process which was a good sign. But then, out of the blue, had some technical screen questions (I've included all of them in this review) which were mostly obscure networking questions, none of which seemed relevant to the job, yet another red flag.
After the last question, I was promptly told it wasn't a good fit and interview was over. The recruiter was rude and unprofessional in the way she decided to end the conversation. Yet another red big red flag.
