First I had a phone interview with HR and was invited to their office in Hamburg for personal interview and job trial. They assigned one sales manager to explain the daily tasks and I've actually made calls that day. Basically international sales manager = cold call all day is what I found out. In the end I didn't get the roll, but I was glad to find out that the roll consists of pretty much all cold calls. My travel cost was covered up to 50 EUR.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Pretty straight forward, how do you handle your sales pipeline?
I had an interview scheduled with this company. I confirmed the interview beforehand and joined the meeting on time. Unfortunately, no one attended the interview, even after waiting for 15 minutes.
I followed up professionally by email immediately afterward, but I never received any response or apology. Unexpected issues can happen, but completely ignoring a candidate’s time and communication reflects a very unprofessional recruitment process.
Candidate experience and communication should be treated with more respect.
The recruiter was very nice and asked me some common questions, especially ask my expected compensation, although I already wrote as I applied the job. After I repeated what I wrote, the recruiter asked me again and seems want to confirm. He also asked if I knew Statista, where did I know Statista, etc.
