Things were (I think) slightly different with my interview than some others, as the store I was interviewing with is moving to a new location down the street in a couple of months, and a new manager will be taking over. I did one interview with the current store manager, Vickie, who was absolutely lovely. She asked some basic questions (some listed below), and when I asked her one of my questions at the end of the interview ('What is the best/most rewarding part of working at Starbucks?'), she responded genuinely, and with a passion that made me really want to be a part of the team, even moreso than before.
My next interview was with the manager for the new store, which the current store is moving to in October, I believe. She was a little bit late for the interview, so I took some time to observe how the other staff were working, and when the manager arrived from another store, she was apologetic, and politely thanked me for waiting. She told me that the interview would be more like a conversation, and reassured me not to be nervous. She asked a few questions (some listed below), and we talked about certain common interests that came up during the conversation. I asked a few questions about store hours, the transition to the new store (it's going to be one of the ones where they serve wine and beer), and the turnover rate. All in all, it was a very relaxing, almost comforting experience.
