I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Star Mountain in Jan 2025
Interview
My interview experience with Star Mountain Capital was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Right from the start, it was evident that the interviewer was distracted and disengaged, showing little to no interest in our conversation. They seemed preoccupied with other tasks and were not fully present, making it difficult to establish a productive dialogue.
In addition to being inattentive, the interviewer asked questions that were unrelated to the position I applied for, raising concerns about whether they had even reviewed my background. It felt like they were going through the motions without any real intent to understand my qualifications or potential fit for the role.
To make matters worse, the entire interview process felt rushed. The interviewer seemed more focused on wrapping things up quickly rather than conducting a thorough assessment. This approach not only reflected a lack of professionalism but also made me question the company's commitment to hiring the right talent.
Overall, the interview left a negative impression, and if this experience is reflective of their work culture, I would strongly advise candidates to carefully consider other opportunities before pursuing a role at Star Mountain Capital.
Interviewer came in unprepared. Sent the wrong documents for the position and proceeded to ask questions unrelated to the position. Clearly they were just waiting to get it over with and showed no real interest
