I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Stanford University (Stanford, CA) in Mar 2014
Interview
Just like most other postdoctoral interviews, you usually have a phone call or skype with the PI first before they fly you in for a full day interview. You are expected to give a talk about your graduate work, then you meet with people one-on-one for whole day. Be ready to talk about your plans and research goals, and how you would contribute to the lab.
The process starts with sending an email to the PI. Then, an on-site presentation to meet the lab. Decision in 1 week. Ask for reference letters. Extend the offer after the reference is cleared.
