I recently had an interview experience with the company’s CEO that left a very negative impression on me. I sensed there were specific answers expected, and when my responses didn’t align with those expectations, I felt as if I had said/done something wrong and almost being accused of, and couldn't present myself authentically.
I understand that there is always time constraints for interviews, butI didn’t feel there was much effort to actually get to know me or to acknowledge the time and preparation I had put into attending the interview. The lack of an introduction at the beginning also added to a sense of discomfort, and overall the experience was more stressful and demotivating than any interview I’ve had before.
While I have previously recommended thier courses to friends and still believe that many people at the operational level are likely capable and dedicated, this experience made me reflect more critically on the company’s leadership style and culture. I don’t I think I would be supported heard or comfortable working at this company.
