Interviewed for a Program Manager role on the Risk Evaluation team. Ever get the feeling the interviewers are going through the motions or using you to practice their interview skills? That’s exactly what my experience was. The woman taking point was painfully green in the interview space. She talked non-stop about the role and the team, leaving very little room for candidate questions or engagement in the conversation. The interviewer asked a whopping two filler questions that didn’t assess skills or experience. It was clear she came up with the questions on the fly, which left me wondering how on earth they could possibly evaluate all candidates in an unbiased manner. Overall an incredibly disappointing experience, I expected more from Square.
